Explore, Rescue, Protect!

Amigurumi Captain Barnacle of Octonauts fame. Improvised from a bear pattern in Amigurumi Two by Ana Paula Rimoli. Made for my friend to give to her son who is obsessed with the TV series. There isn't any official merchandising available yet. It's a mixture of washed haze and Rowan hand knit cotton. Whatever I had to hand really.

Captain Barnacle

Here's the 'real' version. I'm sure Graeme will be glad it's finished as I got a little obsessed with the detail and spent ages watching an episode I'd recorded over and over again and then pausing to study further.

If I made him again I'd probably made the head wider to match the image. It looked pretty massive when I first made it.

Oh he looks amazing, just like the real Captain B. His eye look great like that.

You were right, I watched it and I love it. I managed to find 11 episodes on catch-up TV and watched them all.

It is good. I kept singing the theme tune to myself when I was sewing it together.

You did good! he's impressive. and also: hilarious that you actually threw yourself into the deep end of some serious research to do it ;-) that's one dedicated knitter, I say!
