FO

I'm a bit behind with my posts, mainly because I've been lazy about taking photos. I finished this jumper over a week ago and haven't got round to taking a photo till now.

Tubey

The pattern is Tubey from Knitty, without the stripes and the yarn is Jeager Extra Fine Merino Aran. I'm still not convinced that this is the most flattering jumper shape for me, but it only took a couple of weeks to knit so it's got that in it's favour. It's also very warm and comfortable. I knitted it on long DPNs, which was an excellent alternative to circular needles for someone like me who knits with one needle under the arm.

I also never mentioned being visited last weekend by my good friend Caitriona from my Leicester days. It was lovely to see her. I miss my friends a lot. Here she is in the stocks in Hexham.

I really like knitting stuff on long dpns too, especially hats which I find are usually too small to be comfortable even on my smallest circular length yet fall off the ends of normal dpns. I have a few vintage ones but can't find anywhere that sells them these days, have you got a supplier? I really like the look of tubey on you (and hence, I'll probably get round to knitting it for myself sometime) sure it's fitted, but it looks like it fits you well and I like the deep neck shape. It looks much better on lasses with boobs than without, I've seen some disasterous looking ones on Ravelry usually when the person wearing it hasn't got enough to fill it out properly and it's gone all gapey around the bussooms. Sending love and warm vibes your way.
